So this build is really good and all with good numbers, but I don't care what a 2.3L frankenstein LSJ can run on E85 I want to see a 2.0L LSJ on pump gas. Running these numbers wiht your set up doesn't put anyone on here to shame its pretty coolwhip what can be done if you dig in and throw tons of cash at your car to compensate for a poor power adder. Realistically it would be alot easier to run a turbo kit and or TVS to make similar numbers with pump gas and little to no downtime. I mean good job and all but to me this build doesn't mean ****, and im not a zzp hater i'd rather go twincharge then totally rip my motor apart jus throw the heaton on and run OKAY numbers for a built lsj

It's something unique but to be fair about it, no TVS guy has made these numbers.

Ryan on a 2.0 liter with stock head and stock cams made over 300WHP.

Yeah its a really cool build I just can't see many people running to you with cash for the shortblock. I think a better Idea would be to run all these mods while stayin 2.0 I mean you could showcase the cams better etc

Theoretically wouldn't you be able to produce even more power with these upgrades with a more efficient power adder?

for sure. I just mean anything they bolt on and show numbers with are going to be with the 2.3L on this project so if someone say wants to buy there cams they only know how much HP is possible if they had the ZZP shortblock. I'm sure ZZP we'll test these products on the regular 2.0lsj but it would have been cool to see them use all there products on a true 2.0L M62 car so we could really see how much there stuff would shine.

Awesome new numbers and thanks for posting the graph with rpms and torque this time! This is the sort of stuff I like to see on here. Testing and tuning at its best.

my car is a true 2.0ltr LSJ still using the stock m62, it already has beaten some other 300+whp cobalts and I'm working on getting more out of the head.

Interesting, I always thought the M62 had a 16,000rpm safe limit.

@Tim:

So what were the results before switching to E85?

Is it safe to assume the car has a ported head? What are your cooling mods?

Can we get full disclosure here please?

Interesting. Mine only made 17 psi at 5300, and by 8200 rpm is was only at 14 psi. The blower couldn't keep up with my head/cams. Perhaps if I had gone with a less radical head/cam combo, I might have gotten better results with the M62. Good luck. You'll need a lot of it, and possibly some of Paul's voodoo magic.

We hit 320whp (conservative tune and pulley) and stopped there, I didnt want to push it to much further, new engine, so I stepped up to 110 and swapped the pulley to go further.

I want to get to the track soon, the trans is hating me for my 8000+rpm shifts, I swapped the fluid and I have been putting some miles on it and we will see if it loosens up a bit. On the scanner it was taking 1.2 seconds to shift 1-2 and 2-3, which doesnt seem like long, but let me tell you when your trying to race it seems like forever!

change the brake fluid to a motul 600 or wilwood 570. or separate the systems into two reservoirs. a TC release bearing helps a lot. a simple fluid change does wonders in these things!
