alternative to Stage 2?

instead of buying stage 2...would it be a good idea to buy the pcm from intense, lucas 42lb injectors, 2.8" pulley, ngk plugs, and a new belt or tensioner? i mean...i like the pcm because i won't have to take it anywhere to install it...i want to do it all myself. does anyone have any good things to say about the intense pcm? i'm just curious as to whether it's a smart purchase. I also want to buy everything separate for a couple reasons:

1) i can buy exactly what i want piece by piece, and not drop in a premade kit
2) i don't have to buy all of the components at once (kinda strapped for cash)
3) if the intense pcm is recommended, i can have the tune installed before i actually have serious upgrades installed....makes it more like a gradual project than a kit installation

i hope my head is in the right place....what do you guys think?

If you get all the parts you mentioned, your car WILL be faster then stage 2 (and cheaper) . But if you do use the intense products, you will lose your warranty.

If you are strapped for cash, you could buy all the pieces one by one, but it would be cheaper to buy the intense stage kit.

thanks for the response.

however...if i do buy the stage kits...i will end up with things that i don't want...for example...i dont want a $400 or $500 stage kit that only comes with a 3" pulley...so now i have to buy another one anyway. i think for me it would be best to get exactly what i want the first time through without having to to change or upgrade a kit.

now...does anyone have any comments (positive or negative) in regards to the Intense pcm? how's the performance? how's the install? is it worth the $200? will i notice a difference? is it a GOOD product?

You do not loose warranty. They can refuse work if they find that a problem with your car is directly related to the parts you put on though... People need to stop misinforming everyone about how things will void warranty.

once you put an aftermarket supercharger pulley on anything that happens to your supercharger is voided, and once you crack the pcm by using hptuners or any other tuning company to change any parameter on your car you basically void your entire warranty if anything would happen to your engine or supercharger. If you want a warranty get stage 2 if you plan on modding after stage 2 such as cams, head, pistons, just go aftermarket to begin with.

all you need to do is install HPT, save your stock tune map, and if your car blows or whatever, flash it back to the stock map and your game.
