Angry another engine shut down!!!!!

today, 2 hours ago, im on my way home from work, cruise'n along at about 65mph, when all the sudden, shut down!!!! just like somebody shut off the fuel. i said a few bad words because i remember somebody having this problem on here before, so damn the luck, so am i. after it coasts to a stop, i try to refire, but nothing. turns over but wont start. so i call the dealership where i bought it, was just there monday getting 1st oil change, and with this being the "red rocket car" they sold, they rememberd me first thing. thats all the good news, gets worse from here out. im not making this up. i live in a town with less than 2800 people, hickville! after i tell this service guy what happened, hes like, ok...and....AND, i want some service! my car has 2800 miles on it, and i have babied the crap out of it. he tells me he GUESSES he can send a wrecker for me. needless to say, i can not print what i said next, but it was like, get out her and get this car its under warranty. so they send the tow truck, and well, this guys like...how the hell am i gona tow that... so he messes with it for 20 mins, in 90 degree heat sun beating down, ready to kick somebodys, well u get it.. anyway, off we go to the dealership. it gets good here...anybody faint of heart, dont read any further, and i am not making this up!!! first thing they do is ask me if it has gas in it, yah. ok. next thing, they try to start it, wont start. so lets roll it over in the open bay. hood opens, 3 mechanics look in, service man says to all 3..."anybody know anything obout superchargers?" all 3 at the same time " a no"....one guy says, "what kinda car is this?" im about to come unglued when, oh my God!!! i see my rear valance is no longer red, but white....where it has been drug along the road on the way to the dealership...i about fainted....its destroyed. a guy in the service shop says, "did the wrecker guy do that?" u can see where this is going...i have 3 mechanics that i would rather not touch my car, and a service manger that wanted to give me a 90 something raged out cavalier for a loaner...i got a 03 vibe instead! HELP! anybody know what causes this problem!!! i havent done anything to this car, no mods, no hotroding, drive to and from work basically. this is my first new car i ever bought, and now im ready to kill over it im so mad. any help would be great, cause the 3 stooges down there aint gona get it!

Well after all the hell it's been through you may as well pay for air freight and have it shipped to someone who didn't read "Become a mechanic in 100 steps". If it's turning over but not starting it could be any number of things. Since it's turning over your wiring harness sounds like it's ok...and tell them not to touch the S/C because it's definitely not that. Actually, instead of leaving your car with 3 monkeys and a retard I'd rent a flat bed tow truck myself and take it to the nearest city.

I know this option might not sound that great right now but good god it's gotta be better than having those 3 twits under the hood of your car.

So the car has died on you 2 times in the 1st couple months for no apparant reason:
Get a lawyer, Lemon law it, get a new one, tell them you are keeping the Vibe until your new one gets here.

plead "Temporary Insanity".....

..... after they discover 5 dead bodies in your small town. I would freak and get a hold of GM customer service and complain "LOUDLY" about the incompetence of one of "their" dealerships.
Hopefullyit all works out for you in the end.

Not to sound like an ass but why didn't folow proper procedure and call 1800-CHEV-USA, instead of going through the dealer. They would more than likely have gotten you the correct type of tow vehicle. I'm guessing the tow truck, was a dolly system. Last is why didn't you check to make sure going to be towed without damage? I mean that's just common sense!

I would definitely call GM customer service. I would also demand they not have this dealer touch my car. That's so crazy I wouldn't believe you, but who could make that up?

when you got the package from GM after you bought your car, they have a customer service #. They want you to tell them how their dealers are representing the GM name. Thats the same reason they send out questionaires after you buy and service appointments. Don't let those yokels get away with that crap. The rules of proper conduct work both ways.

They're probably sitting there on their haunches poking the S/C with sticks while scratching their heads to make sure it's not alive . Hope you get everything worked out.

Um I would 100% call GM. When it broke down you should of call the 800 road side assistance. That documents your case.

I would call GM and tell them your story as SOON as you read my post. If something wrong happen the GM corp will call the dealer and set them strait very quickly.

Good Lord man...don't pay a cent for any of this. If a flat bed needs to be aquired to move your vehicle to a more compitant shop, then make the dealership take care of it. Do like self said and CALL GM!!! Do not let the dealership or GM push you around or try to get you to pay for any of this mess. This includes the damage that was done from the tow truck. The dealership sold you the damned car, they should know that you cannot put a lowered car with ground effects on a dolly truck. MAKE GM TAKE CARE OF THIS ENTIRE MESS!!!

after my cobalt ss never came i bought a 79 camaro 350 4 speed...yeah it will be raping cobalts...anyways...i had to have it towed and while i was with the tow truck driver he was all careful with my car and stuff then when i got to the shop he brought it to he had just taken it out of gear and rolled it off the flatebead nose into a cement curb....like fiberglass nose into curb....im def pushing for some body damage and you should do the same get as much as you can from these people chances are there pretty damn stupid and it wont be hard...car just stopped running......while its going the only thing i can think that would make it stop running but still turn over is ignition or timing i had a nove once where a sparkplug wire had just fallen off....it was a poorly molded part....i would check connections like that....my nova actually was still running just a cylinder short....but sometimes people screw stuff up and small things you might never notice happen

Unhappy update

update....the dealership has not had "time" to look at it today! aka we dont know what to do.....at this point im ready to kill, but im calling gm instead. the tow driver, who also has a body shop. , says he will fix the damage he caused! dah! dealership says they prob get to it tomorrow, have fixed in a day or 2 dependeing on parts. they told me to keep the vibe, which smells like 3 buckets of ass and has 50k hard miles on it, till they are done with mine....ok, like i was going to walk. anyway, has this happened to any of you guys out there with your SS's? i thought somebody else on here had this same problem? thanks for the support.....

update 2

called gm customer service...they assured me, , that the techs at my dealership were capable of fixing my SS. ok. the guy at gm then called my dealership and talked to them about the problem and came back to tell me that the ecm module has failed. the guy from gm customer service! i just had talked to the service manager like 20 mins earlier, and he said they had not looked at it, but then in 20 mins they find this out??? the guy at customer service said he would follow up on this info, and that if i had any further concerns to call them back and refer to the service number he gave me. also the tow truck driver has said he would repair the damage he caused. yah, thats a no brainer! so off to work i go agian, i let u all know whats up tomorrow.
