another engine shut down!!!!!
Update 3........
just got back from dealer, seems problem is/was, (it is running now
) a blow fuse to the fuel injectors. the fuse is only a 10amp fuse. the service manager was the one working on the car, most experience and all. he seemed to know his stuff, course everything he told me came from the diagnostics he ran. anyway, hes going ahead and taking a look at the wires going into the injectors and also the coil wires to see if anything is rubbing bare causing a short. other than finding a part burnt or broke needing replaced, i should have her back 2night!
he told me he let it run for an hour and no problems arouse, so he said he may have to take it for a drive, ie , run the dog **** out of it till it blows the fuse. those are my words, not his, but thats what i heard. post update when i get it back as to his official cause and any other findings later 2night..............
you had onstar and didnt have them send a tow truck.... you do know 3 miles or 30 miels form the dealer you paid for onstar right???? That sucks man but the tow damage is all your fault for not using what you had aavilable
You need to call GM customer service back. Was the ecm failure a lie to cover their butt? sure sounds like it. I understand the guy is helping you now. Don't forget they jerked you around and it sounds like they jerked GM customer service around. By the way "the ecm is bad" is standard for we don't know wtf is wrong with it yet.

Update 4...car Fixed
wire harness was in wrong place, it was under the ac metal line and rubbed a hole thru to the injector wire, shorting it out. they repaired the wire, moved the harness, and put some of that wire shield on it to protect it. all is good with the engine, now im after the tow guy who has already agreed to repair or replace the rear valance. hope this helps anybody else that might have this problem.
