another little prob

just got a quick quesion
ive been noticing lately that my car is starting to feel sluggish in 2,3,4 gear from about 2500 to 3800
but its not an every time thing
i talked to someone that i know and they are leaning towards a bad cat and said that in higher rpms that the boost willl overcome the pluged cat

well i am not staged yet with only a intake as a engine mod
the downpipe was just rteplace about 15000 miles ago
i often times run race gas for the smell and within the last 3 months race av gas and heard that it runs extremly hot

what do you guys think that it could be

thanks

well gotta be the worst turn out for a thread on this site in history 30 min 1 view and no replies

A great way to know if its a clogged cat, jack up the car and knock on the cat. If it rattles its bad. I'm leaning towards a clogged fuel filter.

It'll sound like a rattle when you knock on it. If its just a typical metal knock noise then its normal. Knock on another part of the exhaust and see if you hear a difference.

um if you dont know, the "av gas" aviation gas is leaded which will ruin the cat and drastically shorten the life of o2 sensor so "just for the smell" is a bad idea...
