The Gm stage kit comes with an ecu reflash,2.8 pulley and 42.5 injectors. i have a 2.8 and the injectrs. Now can i just go to my dealership for a reflash and call it a stage 2?

My buddy is a tech their and he will do it but neither of us are sure if it's the same thing. i don't see what the difference is except for its alot cheaper.

The flash/calibration requires a serial number and your vin number it install according to some of the other techs on the board. Leads me to believe your tech friend can't just flash your car for free.
But if he can make sure to report back cause that would kick ass.
the stage 2 pulley is a little biger than 3". the reason for this is believed to be because the stage 2 reflash is going to raise the rev limiter to 7k and anything smaller than a 3" pulley will overrev the supercharger at 7k rpms.

Because they are redlining at 6450 not 7K. Faster engine revs = faster s/c revs.
However......on the RL forums, it was discussed that the tests on the SC is CONTINUOUS rpm's and also those are the numbers for the the 4th gen M62. Our cars have the 5th gen which is good up to 16K continuous rpm.
