Anyone with stage 2, please help

I just sort of need a poll from all people with stage 2.

I need to know if you all have smooth acceleration. And by that, I mean, when you step on the gas, not necessarily WOT, but any kind of acceration, do you accelerate without any break in the acceleration.

Many of you know about boost surge, and how it effected your car.

Well I got the update/reflash to fix that problem, but it didn't fix it, and now the dealership is trying to say that it isn't a problem, and that stage 2 just makes you have uneven acceleration. BULLSHIT! Right?

I have never driven a different stage 2, but I know that when I first got it installed, it wasn't having this problem, and now, it is, but its normal? I don't think so. The only time I have experienced a problem that feels similar to this, is when my old 3000gt had dirty fuel injectors.

So what I am asking, is when you accelerate, is it a smooth even acceleration, or is there very small gaps(not even a full second) when the acceleration drops off, then resumes again.

Thanks to any help!

I have an 06 ss/sc with GM stage 2, gm stage 3 pulley and and AEM Cold Air Intake. I do not stutter at all. It just goes. Now it will throw you in your seat a little bit, but it is a relatively smoothe acceleration.

I have the stage 2 with AEM intake and 2.8 Pulley, i have a slight hesitation at part throttle some times, but then it pulls hard, not sure if the cold weather is causing this to happen or not.

I dont have any hesitation at all on mine, once I go, it gets off its ass. The only time I notice a decrease in boost and/or acceleration is when I am at like 50% throttle or something, and the car get up to speed and goes into vacuum because the acceleration has dropped off

No, nope, nada, just a nice smooth acceleration. I don't have any other mods, just the stage 2.

Hmm...

The inconsistency is the confusing part.

I forsee this becoming a legal battle, because they are trying to tell me that the surges are just part of having stage 2. But these surges are so bad, that they clearly effect my performance. And there are times when the surge last longer, and I can feel the decreased acceleration for like 2-3 seconds. That just can't be normal.

Thanks for the info guys. If anyone else has more input, or suggestions let me know..

stage 2 2.8 and ngk -1 plugs
i get the stutter about 2nd gear 3-4k

i wanna try swapping the stock ngks back in

i had the iridium -1 and the copper ngk-1 are in their now

only colder plugs have been in there since stg 2 and have noticed it since about then

also any suggestions for gap on both the copper ngk-1 and the stock ngks

also i think it could only be 3 things
tune
plugs
or intake(CAI)

also maybe injectors are not keeping up

what your having is exactly what I had.

Until i got the new reflash. which completely removed it.

do you think your dealership might have given you the wrong one....or maybe they are smartasses and didnt give it to you thinking youd never notice?

honestly, what your describing is exactly what that flash fixes......

if its the same as mine its not something youll notice on the gauges.
its a very very slight feel in the pull of the car.
imagine if you had a stutter in your right foot, as if you were feathering the peddle just a tiny tiny bit, and thats what it feels like.

I got the reflash at 2 different dealerships. After getting it done at the dealership I normally go to, I decided to get it at a different one just incase they didn't actually do it, or they gave me the wrong one. And both times, it has failed to fix it.

I agree it may be a multiple of things including intake and tune, but I wonder if I can bypass the whole problem, and just get a new MAF possibly?

Either way, the dealership is trying to get me to take of the stage 2, and test it w/o.

The catch is... they say I might have to pay to have it reinstalled. And that is a bunch of crap.
