I can help with a little bit... Just post your questions and smart gearheads will be all over it. If anyone gives you bad advice they will get flamed in like .5 seconds...

just so many options as far as header dp. ive read and reread a billion threads on the subject and im right back to square one. Im leaning towards vibrant but I'd like to go catless. heard catless will give me that ricer sound that i DONT want. vibrant doesnt do catless. I want a combo that will bolt str8 up to my stock exhaust and give me the most hp gains i can get. what are the sizes i should be looking to get. I have an injen cai already installed and after getting a header dp combo im getting the ottp stage 1 and having them tune for the kit and the mods i will already have done.

What model Cobalt do you have?

*Edit, never mind, I see you have a 2.2.

I have a cat-less downpipe on my car and I don't think it sounds "ricey". Just make sure whatever cat-back you choose has a nice resonator on it. For a 2.2, i'd reccomend the Shiney Hiney header (the EXACT same header as the CA v1 header......Cobalt Addiction actually sold them the design rights to it when they released their v2 header), XTC 2.5" de-cat downpipe and the Tsudo cat-back. The whole setup will be right around $600, and should sound great.

Header: http://www.shiny-hiney.com/header.html

Cat-back: http://www.speed-element.com/servlet/Detail?no=156

Downpipe: http://www.cobalt-addiction.com/performance.htm (go to headers and scroll down)

Start with your tune/pulley/injector set up before beating on the header/dp door.

Clear Image Auto's header is a really nice piece IMO

i have the ss/sc 2.0. But if i do stage 1 from ottp wont i have to do another tune when i get header dp combo? like to avoid a 2nd tune thats why i was going with the header dp combo 1st then stage kit so it would be tuned for the combo already

and then also to weigh in yet more things into my decision is price. the vibrant is 579 for header dp combo, not a bad price and right around what i am looking to spend for it. I also have to have stainless because of the god awful amount of salt put on our roads here in wonder illinois weather.

pacesetter longtube for the header? and what dp for it? will it all be a str8 bolt up to stock exhaust?
