Auto Meter D-PIC Gauges (GP interest?)

Just checking to see if anyone would be interested in getting the D-PIC gauge recently released from Auto Meter... If there's a little bit of interest, I can get a GP going at a great price & free shipping.

Information here.

Just a quick estimate, but somewhere around these prices....

D-PIC, Cobalt Retail - $265.35

GP price ~ $179

D-PIC, Ultra-Lite Retail - $252.00

GP price ~ $169

And those would include free shipping in the lower 48 states.

That is pretty decent! It's certainly something to think about it.

How labor intensive it is to install?

Unfortunately I have no idea on the installation of them, since I haven't yet.

i would be up for it if that guage could read air/fuel or something useful....

it doesn't tell anything of importance, other than some random readings.

Seriously. That guage doesnt do anything really worthwhile. Doesnt even have boost readings. That thing will cost the better part of the K&N CAI. Don't waste money on that crap just cause it looks cool. Spend your hard earned dollars on something that matters.

It can be used as a tool for tuning. It will give you fairly accurate estimate of how much power you are putting down and 0-60 and such.

It may not be as accurate as a dyno, but it will be much cheaper if you do a lot of tuning.

It's good for comparing what you had, to what you have now. That and it looks neato. As far as tuning goes, without any A/F ratio readings or anything else to do with what's going on under your hood it's useless. There are better places to spend $170 is all I'm saying.

That is a good deal, but I can't do it. I've already bought a Nexus system from Autometer and am hoping they produce a D-Pic for that. I don't want to run around with a laptop plugged in all the time.
