autometer CObalt Boost Gauge.

My friend is pulling out his Autometer cobalt boost gauge which is like brand new and he wants to sell it to me for 100. I know this is a great price for the gauge. However I have a questions.

>>>Can I just pull out the Stock gauge and plug this one in<< If not how does the stock gauge come out I dont care about the wires since i can have it rewired. But will it work fine. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<

it will fit into the hole from the stock boost gauge

but you will need to use the map sensor and wiring from the cobalt gauge

The factory Cobaltt SS boost gauge is PWM(pulse width modulation) controlled by the PCM....it wont work in a base Cobalt. buy an aftermarket gaue.

He is giving me an aftermarket autometer gauge. It the cobalt version tho. Its funny its the same name of our cars. lol. well he actually has a superchartged GT. And he is trading it in for a rsx type S. Yeah tell me about it. Well he is taking everything out of his car. And hes giving me the autometer COBALT gauge for 100 dlls.

For those who sitll dont get it this is the one hes giving me.

I wouldn't count on it just swapping out.

If it comes with a sending unit I would just use that and wire it up just like if you never had one.

Yes you can remove the pillar without worry of inflating the airbags. Be sure to disconnect battery before you do any work on car.

Yes the Autometer Cobalt Series electrical gauge should pop right in place of the stock gauge, You will need to use an Autometer approved sending unit since the factory gauge is controlled by the PCM and the factory gauge and aftermarket Autometer gauges arent electrically compatible

^^^ No, I think he means "COBALT" boost gage..not as in the car Cobalt, but as in what autometer calls this particular gage.
