Alright. i want to start on some mods. i wanted to do a megan catback but im thinking about just doing a axel back with an oval body magnaflow. question is how much do you think that should cost? i want to reuse my stock tip.. im thinkin like 90 bucks for the muffler, tubes and labor like $40?

 

Or you could buy my GMPP Cat-Back ($300 shipped) and keep in good warranty standards with GM/the Dealership.

they charged me $75 for my axle back.. i did the samething u did with the magnaflow..lol

 

how does it sound? they are quoting me like 200 - 250!

and what magnaflow did you use?
i was going to get the 14" oval body offset/center

 

i bought the magnaflow cat back with a damaged resonator so i added a cherry bomb resonator and got custom axle back piping...lol and i have a catless downpipe..it sounds good..

welcome to california.. 360 to do $20 tint. bought my car.. 18,500. after all the bullshit fees. 24,500. i just found a place that will do it for 80 (if i have the muffler). so i'll have to go to kregan and by a magnaflow offset/center 14" muffler. but i see every one buying there 18" ones. will there be a big difference? i'll be using the stock resonator if i do this. if i dont do this i think im going to just get the megan.

 

140 with labor sounds about right........sure beats spending 600 for a catback

 

What base are you moving to? I'll should still have it by then. My new exhaust just got delayed .

Changing just the muffler on our cars makes them raspy...

 

Dear god... don't remove the Resonator... if anything, add another resonator and delete the Muffler.

Removing the Resonator makes them sound like ****** Honda's.

Until you look at someone who has a nice catback that sounds great and then look at someone elses hacked up piece of ****. I just bought a GMPP touring exhaust on ebay for $200. Just have a little patience and good deals will come around.

I was trading in my old 2.4 SS and I thought it wouldnt fit on my new SS/SC. Now im REALLY kicking myself in the ass for that.

Go to Custom Tube's Incorporated for the "over the axle" bend ----> CTI Custom Bends for $95

and then just get a muffler of your choice, good ones go for about $100 or more, including labor you'll probably get it done for $400 total maybe.

 

I'm about an hour north of I-70 (what I imagine you'll be using)... but my car doesn't move right now. And from the looks of it, it MIGHT be a while, stupid dealership.

And I'm buying WickedSS2005's 2.5" Magnaflow...
