B&M problems

I just bought a B&M short throw shifter for my 2006 cobalt ss/sc,and It doesnt look like the right one.At the bottom of the rod,the ball fo rthe shift cable is facing sideways, the shifter faces straight down.Anyone with a 06 ss/sc-please list or email me the part number of the shifter you have.thank you-- mtr111685@verizon.net

You have the right shifter, you need to re-use the shift cablr retainer off the old shifter.

the small ball on the bottom end of the SS/SC shifter does face towards the drivers side of the car you have the correct shfiter.
Note the green plastic piece on the bottom of the stock shifter this is the part that you need to remove from the old shifter and use on the B&M.

Yours is the right one. When you mount the shifter cable to the B&M, the clip is just rotated 90* from the way it mounts to the stock shifter
