B&M short shifter question

i installed this shifter and i liked it for the first day of normal driving. then when i was racing, i shifted into 4th, it wouldn't go into gear, but it would go into every other gear. then when i was driving normally, it was fine. it is only 4th gear that is doing this. does anyone know of what the problem might be? i am gonna go take a look at it tomorrow and see if i can fix it, or better figure out what the problem is. thanks

Whats up man? Good seeing you at the aldine meet tonight. I think the problem is the two cables (the ones you have to snap into place) are a little off. I'm pretty sure the left side (closest to drivers seat) is for reverse, and the right side is for the rest of the gears. It's hard to describe typing out, but I had the same problem...I had to unclip the cable and "set" it a little closer down the cable...wow that probably makes no sense.

I will have to look but one cable moves when you go left to right and the other when you go front to back.

Both control all gear selections.

Take a peek at one of my earlier posts using search. There are instructions on how to adjust them there.
