Thumbs down Bad Stage 2 Kit News

Kelleyperformance over on .com just posted that he was checking today with GM on the kit availability as he is going to be selling them, and he was told they've been pushed back til JUNE. I don't like to post heresay and bs about "I know this person and he knows this person and bla bla bla" But I figured this was big enough news to post. Even tho I hope its wrong...

This is just getting stupidly ridiculous at this point. I mean, come on, it's a freakin pulley and fuel injectors with a belt and a reflash WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG?!?!? I guarantee you they have the kit sitting on shelves somewhere, its not like they need to develop them any further. I'm baffled at this point as to the reason for this completely ridiculous delay.

Yeah, I've waited too damn long. Car's been out for 2 years now and no stage kits yet? I just bought the Intense kit. GM is too busy screwing around... they lost my money. And i will bet money the GM kit doesnt reveal near as much power as the intense kit. Thats jut my own opinion.

Screw this crap. I just might be buying the Intense Stage 3 again. I originally was going to buy it but "the end of the first quater" was coming up soon. Now that it's the "end of the first quater" and nothing is out, I may go ahead with Intense. The only thing I'm going to hate is the tuning involved.

they'll be out in the first quarter. they've said this for 6 months now.

I will email a specific person at gmpp and will post the email back here IF it is not one of the regular question dodging responses.

with all due respect, ok..maybe not. That guy is a total idiot. I'd believe the rantings of a monkey before I'd take one word he has to say to heart. I don't doubt he has ties to the Chevy dealership, I doubt he has even the smallest clue about life much less the cobalt and performance.
That is my .02. I think I've expressed myself consistently with regards to that individual on .com as well.

I call bullshit. I was phoned today saying the end of this month. I did not repeat did not phone the dealership they phoned me. Perhaps they aren't selling bulk kits to KP but they are coming and not in JUNE.

I dont do person-bashing, all I can say is I've never ever had any issues with him. He's going to be selling these kits, he knows I'm going to be buying the kit from him, and he wouldn't pm me and tell me they're pushed back til June unless someone told him that they were at GM. That's all I'm saying, but believe me, I hope it's false.

point taken, I normally don't do it either....I'll give you an example of the crap that crosses his keyboard that graces the internet....

ok i got some really heartbreaking news........ when i called GM for the weekly update, they told me the kits are delayed until JUNE!!!!!! i am very very sorry for this wait and inconvenince. i will keep you all informed of the status of the kits as soon as i receive them.
alright....when, if ever have you heard about a RICH code...??
The guy has NO clue what he is talking about. This is the last time I'll reference him.

From the results of my dyno last week I am running rich so I guess I have that rich code. Of course I can't see it because of the lean code my K&N is throwing

I'm not one of those people that claim having family and all this and that in GM, but I do have a few points of contact. I promise I will call them tomorrow and see if they can give me any information about all this. I have a very close friend that is the business manager and a dealership (has access to GM accessories as well as GMPP) I also am frienly with the parts manager and another dealership, he actually has called me 3 or 4 times within the past couple months giving me information. He called me when he found out that pricing is out and the parts cancel upon order but gave the 1.5 hours of install time. He's reliable, i'll call him tomorrow.

I'm close to doing the same thing. I'm going Friday to watch two Red Lines get tuned at a local shop using a Greddy Emanage. If I'm happy with the results I may be going that route.

we're in the same boat....hopefully you can see what I meant about the sense of the things thats been posted.
And you won't get a RICH code, thats where GM wants you to be rather than LEAN. They purposely make the engine go RICH to avoid doing damage to the engine. It's kind of like sneezing and shutting your eyes....your body does it to protect the eyes Try sneezing with your eyes open.....

In the year 2014... the GM Stage II kit was finally released...Cobalt owners everywhere rejoiced, it had been a long wait.

I think I remembered your name correctly ? Anywho what did you end up dynoing that day ? Also on the kit thing..... I guess I should of bought another car. While I do beleive the stg kits are coming out as I have seen the tests in person. I don't beleive they are coming out soon. GM has until the end of April. Then it will be money that will be given to intense or just no more money in go fast mods at all. I love this car but I was told the aftermarket would be there when I purchased it the day the damn thing launched ! Now there is a spotty aftermarket at best and no help from the proud good ol boys at GMPP. Well it looks closer to me losing my warranty !

Also I love the sneezing with your eyes open line. While it would be funny to see in a sick way ... please don't do that !
