Base Dyno on Mustang Dyno help needed

I just had a base Dyno done with my all stock 2005 0.2 SS/SC as I just ordered the stage 2 kit from GM & wanted to see just what numbers i have now & what I can reach ?

We had a problem getting the RPM to read right & wanted to know where the rest of you guys connected to get a good reading as when I hit 4 gear & nailed it the RPM would drop in half & we were connected to the coilpack on #1

The guy said it's better to connect to the Fuel rail wireing but he didn't want to pull the loom sheilding all apart so I wanted to know where they connected on most the Mustag Dyno's , he told me he will run another for free if I can get the info.

1 pull 196.4 HP @3000 RPM which should read 6000 RPM
360.9 TQ @ 2750 RPM ha ha ha this is not right

2nd 194.6 HP @ 3000 RPM
366.9 TQ @ 2500 RPM

as you can see he was missing a RPM but when I shifed to 4th it was fine till I nailed the gas then it dropped the RPM in half on the Dyno readings for some dumb reason so any help or advise would be great. This was my first ever Dyno test & it's pretty cool if we can get the RPMs right on the Dyno

I just got called & have to run to work but I'll check for help postings when I get back in an hour or so

I dyno'd on a mustang dyno first, and connected right to where you did, got a fine reading. You shouldn't be seeing that much hp either completely stock, you should read something like 7-10 less. Just FYI

Well the weird thing is it RPM was reading fine till I floored the gas as I shifted I was watching the Dyno & I hit 4th & was fine then he flaged me to go ***** out & it dropped in half at that point & we tried it like 5 times as he thought he had a setting wrong but it did the same thing each time ?

Hmm I thought most the people here were getting 190 to 200 HP on the mustangs stock! Plus the Torque is way off ?

Can anyone else offer any clue???

Looks like your dyno wasn't setup right. It's 4 bolts to get the cover off the coil packs and get at the ignition wires.

Yea thats what we did & connected to the #1 coil pack but if you read my first post you will see the RPM's dropped in half the second I floored it in 4th gear (in the car it read right ) & I was wanting to see if anyone else has had this problem.
The guy that ran the Dyno stated he has had beter readings on the rpms connectiing to the injectors as the newer cars are multi sparking to the coil packs or thats the way he stated it to get the best preformance but he didn't want to pull the whole wireing harness loose to the injectors to do it that way.
I think he must of had a setting wrong in the program as I'm seeing everyone had the RPM line connected to the coil pack & there readings are ok

Is #1 the one closest to the passenger side?

You need to clip around one of the wires with an inductive pickup.

I have had 4 dynos all were fine (dynojet)

Yea #! is closest to the passanger side & there are 4 wires to each coil pack so he tried each one till we got the right one & my Cobalt was there first Cobalt that they have dynoed.

I have a base HP to go off & thats all I wanted but when I go back after the Stage 2 install, I want them to get it right. They said they would contact the MFG & tech people from Mustang & see whats up also.

Thanks for the replys guys I'll scan the sheets & get them posted
