Talking Baseline Dyno Results

Hey,
My car is in the shop for a INTENSE-racing tune and some dyno runs to take care of an engine light. P0172 System Too Rich

The baseline dyno peged out on the rich side of the scale. The guy said he was suprised that it even ran. He said I was getting 212 Hp at 195 Ft Lbs torque.at 5000 rpms in 4th gear. I have 42# injectors, a 2.85" supercharger pully, and a K&N Intake system. Well see how this all runes once INTENSE-racing repograms my PCM, wich is orignaly from INTENSE-racing anyways. Just was reflashed back to stock at the dealer before I baught it. He said it would misfire in boost some too.

So hopefully by the end of the week my car will run really good

Becaause you probably don't know I wont be a complete dick. Intense tunes will detroy your motor and not make power. Look for a custom tune locally. A stage 2 tune from GM would even be a step up

They are saying intense tunes suck and your motor is doomed if you stick with them.

They are notorious for less than quality tunes that don't produce the power a tune should and also tend to cause engine damage.

we're trying to say, stay FAR away from the intense tunes unless you want to be re-building your engine when it blows. They have had less than succesful results.

Thanks I think,
but why am I only finding this out now?
I posted a bulleting about getting an intense
tune several weeks ago, and only ever got
one person saying it was a bad idea. I figured
if only one person thought it was bad then it
couldn't be too bad. I tried searching for reviews
on their tunes, but I kept finding race car game
reviews instead. Aperently INETNSE Raceing is
a name of a game as well...
The PCM is already from
INTENSE so I figured they would be the best
to program it (Since dealership flashed it to stock)
Well I'm already commited at this point. Once the PCM
comes back re-programed-tuned. We will see what
the dyno tells us. I'm not looking for a whole lot of power,
just alot less fuel. I dont mind running a little rich,
but my baseline dyno was between 8:1 and 9:1

Oh, I see....
I remember once even posting a request for people with something less positive to say, to send em a private message about it, and never got any, and coudlnt find my post about requesting private messages. I figured if it had been deleted the forum monitor person would have sent me a message. But I still should have been able to find a rewview somewhere with google

Troof. And if you stay on that tune I would get a wideband to moniter AFR and maybe an interceptor so you can always watch KR. If those 2 things are in a reasonable range (well 0 KR i suppose) then you should be fine...key word being should.
