Hey guys, mid-install right now. Which belt should I use? GM stage 2? or stick with stock. I have a 2.8" pulley, and a phenolic spacer right now.

Im running stock atm if that helps with those mods. Another guy that was there with me got finished before me and tried to put his smaller belt and it would not fit. I've had no slippage or anything on the stock belt

 

Either would work.. just depends how much effort you wanna put into it.. a stock belt shouldn't slip on that set up though

 

wow. getting so angry. how do you get the damn belt off?

 

15mm open ended wrench on the top of tensioner. Push forward towards the fire wall to release the tension

Now I can't get the pulley off...

I think I'm giving up on the pulley/injectors today. just doing the cooling mods for now

 

I think you should do the Stage 2 belt. I was using the phenolic spacer with a 2.9" and the stage 2 worked.

 

What are you using to get the pulley off?? You can get a pulley puller from autozone.

 

You have much clearance from S/C to rad support?

 

i clear everything np cept the hhr has the coolant reservoir in the front of the engine bay and the sc actually touches it with the spacer...I might look into relocating that
