belt smoking

ok so im at work. and i go to leave, I start my car and it dies. i start it again and the belt starts to smoke.

i just was testing fitting my 2.7 pulley yesterday and it started to make a noise. I took it back off and put my 2.9 back on like i had planned and it didnt stop the noise, so I dont think it is the snout of the supercharger. does any one have any idea?

Make sure the belt is on the A/C pulley properly, it has a tendency to walk over to the compressor side and squeel and smoke if real bad. The belt may be over a couple of ribs on the A/C compressor. Hope that helps

I am willing to bet the belt isn't on all the pulleys correctly. Happened to mine, it stopped squeeling, no smoke, then it started slapping and finally broke the **** off.
