Belt squeak ,smaller belt?

alright i have a little bit of belt squeak with a 2.85 and a 3.00 inch idler pulley

sooo i guess i have to go to a smaller belt

does anyone offer a smaller belt for the car?

or should i just buy the adjustable tensioner thing from zzp?

from what i have been reading there is no other choice but the zzp tensioner. Ive called around and they do not offer another belt for the car yet. Stage two belt is on national backorder.

Mine did that same thing but it was squeeling. Come to find out the idiots at gm didnt press the pulley on far enough so the belt was wearing weird

^ Thats probably the issue, people are running the 2.5" pulley with the 3" idler with no problems, kinda hard to believe yours is slipping unless its defective and streched outa bit. Id double check the alignment...

i put the small 2.5 inch pulley on with the 3" tensioner and my belt has no tension at all.

speaking of belts squeaks...my effin belt squeaks but only under turns obviously its from the ps putting a load on the belt but any clue to fixing....someone said cut a soap bar in half and press it against the belt while idling but my gf is too fond of my fingers to risk it..lol anyother ideas
