custom tune > all. This is coming from a tuner. However as a tuner I have seen a lot of different companies tunes. From what I have seen, ottp's is the best canned tune on the market currently.

zzp owns all. ottp is over-rated. i run a 3.1 pulley with zzp pcm and 42 injectors and stock exhaust and air box mod and i run RIGHT NEXT to my boys ALL MIGHTY ottp plus he has full exhaust/intake and H.E. lol. this is on a roll and from a dig i get him by 1 car. but hold on after i said this everyone is going to say driver mod for the ottp. so im just making all this up. cause u do need a driver mod on a roll right? how hard is it to shift while already in gear starting at a steady speed? choose your poison dood. get the zzp. personally i would get the zzp canned tune than get your boy to modify it slightly with the hpt. i.e. getting a better matched a/f ratio. and remember to get 40-50% 1st gear boost reduction. you will fall in love with it if your more of a street person as opposed to strip.

so your saying you need to spend the money on a tune and then you need to tweak it yourself to get the best gains??? why even bother buying a tune then???

i myself will be going with an OTT tune. it may not make the most power, however its well proven to be very reliable, and imho thats the most important thing when buying a tune for a street vehicle. OTT will also tweak the tune for your mods, not all of their tunes are the same.

as for the ZZP tune, ive heard good, ive heard bad. i myself wouldnt trust it, how can i trust i will get the best customer service if i was to have an issue when the owner is so arogent, and has the attitude that the products are the best on the market???

Custom tune is where its at. It's hard to get a good mail order tune, every car is different.

Canned tunes are no where near as good as a custom tune. If you can get a custom tune from someone knowledgeable for 225 thats a steal. I generally charge anywhere from 200-400 dollars for lsj's depending on how far away they are from me. Also, tunes wont effect cooling at all unless you change the fan settings and or the i/c pump to run when the keys in the ignition. Other then that all the tunes will be the same "cooling" wise. You don't get better temps from different tunes, you get cooling mods for that.

I know the OTTP tune file is great... there are lots of good tuners involved with the making of that one!

I don't know anything good or bad about ZZP's but I know OTTP's is fantastic for a can tune

Trifecta isn't the best with LSJ cars.... stick with OTTP thats what they are good at!

Why aren't you working with us to figure out what is wrong with your car? There is obviously an issue outside of the tune if you are making less power than stock. Seriously, shoot me an email with any scans and/or dyno charts you may have and I will help you get it figured out. stattama@aol.com

Simple- hold him to it. If you don't feel that your ZZP product is the best on the market, Zoom will be willing to make it right. It is a natural part of his competitive nature.

There will never be a highest hp can tuned from any company because the tunes change as the mods change. If you want the most power out of your car get a custom tune. If you want something that is canned and will work fairly well then go with ottp's. I have looked over ottp's, zzp's, intense tunes, trifecta's and a few others. In my opinion vince does great work with the lnf's. Trifecta tunes are great for lnf's, but on the lsj ottp wins it hands down. Whatever you do, don't get anything from intense.

there is more to a tuned then just peak HP. it doesnt do you any good to have a cobalt making 275hp on a 2.8/60s (not that it could) that isnt drivable, gets poor fuel mileage and blows up in 2 weeks.

ok well from my view custom tune will OWN a box tune ANYDAY... as i had the FIRST 07 LSJ stage 2(literally had it the day the 07 LSJ ST2 tune came out) and that tune made the car **** #4 with only DEALER installed part's cept for a muffler swap within 4k miles with dealer oil changes.. but then again the GMS2 was RICH as hell and i aint the only one to get the subaru sound no matter how many miles it took... do what you think is best.. i thought warranty safe would be ok.. then the car sat for a MONTH and i was told it's normal to not rev past 5k and boost 19psi.... then sold the car...

OP go with Psychostevo here in AZ, I can give you his contact info. He has been tuning my car for a while, and he will be the one tuning my car when I go twincharged. The only person I trust is him.

Durtyss, I think you should talk to Stevo too.
