will that work with a aftermarket flywheel like the fidanza ?

would the centerforce dfx be better than the LNF/fidanza combo

Why do you want a lightened flywheel?

I'm running the gmpp clutch. I though it gave me trouble at the track the other day but now I think it was just wheel spin. It holds a lot more than expected.

the gmpp is like flipping a coin with your mods, it may last 5 years, or it may last a year. the ACT kit is under $700 and holds 450tq or something around there

im not sure why it would be like flipping a coin, per say, his sig only has 254wtq

i would think it can handle up to 320 tq?

just because it holds 450tq doesn't mean it will last forever, I absolutely **** my exedy in 40k miles...

i now have the gmp clutch, very easy to drive and holds quite well, no complaints

if you drive it like an idiot you can toast a $4000 triple cf disk clutch with 10% of the power rating

the heavier weight helps absorb the combustion and backlash.

Have the block for it, might as well have the clutch. Was planning on spraying it sometime also

are you talking about my post referencing the extra weight buffering out the energy spikes? if so .. sir, you are the dumb one.

to put it as dumb as possible:

take a 6 pound bowling ball on the ground and hit it with a croquet hammer and see how far it goes. then do the same with a 16 pound bowling ball and see how far it does not go. same principle.

Whatever you upgrade to, I recommend adding the GMP upgraded slave cylinder/throw-out bearing (gm part # 24242805). You can get it on gmpartsdirect for $57.86, plus shipping. You should also consider replacing the tube that feeds brake fluid to the slave cylinder from the slave distribution block (gm part # 24422067). You should be able to get it from the dealer for about $10. The cost of shipping from GM Parts Direct for that little piece costs more than the part.

Btw, I might be swapping my Spec 3+ and Spec flywheel for the GM upgrade and OE flywheel.
