Best solution I can come up with is covering the light with black electrical tap

I don't like it when my car has a CEL.
Some people cover it up and turn up the music to cover a problem.
I want it fixed! I hate knowing that something is amiss even if I can't see the little yellow engine of death!

heh funny story my roomate thought like that, and now his 2003 truck is sitting in my garage as a gigantic paperweight.

lesson learned: dont ignore cel's yes sometimes they are something dumb, but its always worth it to check the code. get an interceptor they read the codes, then u can look them up and find out what is wrong for yourself.
