Best Sound

I want to buy an exhaust system but I dont wanna sound like a ricer. I was thinking borla but **** is exspinsive. So I was thinkin maybe a ricer style can without the ricer sound. What does it take to have the big can without the annoying sound? Either way I wanna run duals.

I had on my SS/SC a 3" dp catless with dual magnaflow magna pack resonators on a full 3" cat back to a skunk 2 can. looked great and the sound was deep, but it was loud, all through the band. All stainless steel as well, fully custom by us.

Someone test drove mine and said the sound was great

That sounds to be about what I am looking for. I wanna say I would like to get as close to a WRX style sound from the pipe. But there engines are what make that kinda sound.

yeah the engine makes that sound, but the the tone is done by the muffler and actually the skunk 2 muffler I used is the one that is used on all of the skunk 2 systems for the evo and wrx

hmm i have the Corsa touring and its loud enough but doesnt drive me crazy. Def not ricey sounding either.

But my fave thing about it is the exhaust tip fills out the bumper cutout perfect.. how silly is that?

Regardless, its gets a lot of compliments.

Stock narows down and has restrictive bends.. But It's not ALL about size. It's also about proper bends and flow etc...

GMPP is mandrel bent, and flows much much better. And it 2.25 all the way through.

Good Luck, I used to have a single SLP theres no muffler just one resonator. Granted I have headers and all, but **** was loud as hell. Not to mention cops gave me **** all the time, and If you have long commutes or take long trips the cabin noise gets to be a pain. But if you can deal with all that, it is loud and not rice. I was there when they (SLP) unveiled the first cobey with the dual as well, as you can imagine it was even louder.

Check out the Megan Racing Drift Spec exhaust. It sounds pretty decent. There's a group buy going on right now for it too!

If you want a megan CBn look in the classifieds , there are like 5 for sale lol. On the borla VS GMPP they are the exact same size , look exactly the same , and are made by the same company . See what i'm getting at?

I have the GMPP exhaust and it sounds pretty good...not really raspy, plenty of pops and burbles...kinda reminds me of a stock SRT4

See I personally don't think it sounds ricy. It's not raspy at all. I agree it is loud when you step on it but just crusing it's pretty tame.

PS I think 3" is a bit big for the Cobalts unless your pushing more then 300 HP...

Lol, yea I passed because i had a High Flow Cat in the setup. If you remove it and go catless then I cant be sure on passing or not.

Acceleration footage of JBP Vortex Header. Result is a throaty almost Ferrari reminiscent sound.

Thats what it says on there...that sounds extremely nice and what I want in 1 way

it sounds amazing when he's just blipping the throttle, as well as idling. i's have to hear it from inside the car while cruising to make the final call.

In cab noise is a must. People in the GB for the header are saying you prolly need the whole setup by them to make it sound like
