2.5" vs 3"?
There are no 2.5" intakes.

The injen & k&n intakes are 2.75". The rest are 3" intakes (fujita, Rebel, OTTP, ZZP, RDFABs).

An intake is def a great started mod though.

I have the K&N on mine, and I truely do love the sound the blower makes. Although with a broken DP atm I can't really hear the blower >.<

I have a ZZP intake on mine, fits pretty good. I need to readjust it a little though. Two piece so it isn't overly difficult to get in. Sounds mean.

On another note, if you wheel hop at all you could get rotated tranny mounts.

Definitely go with a 3" intake from ZZP. 3" is more better.

if you gonna do an intake do it right. 3" from zzp or cai or stay stock and do pulley injectors and a tune. I see your local too. If you have any questions on anything with this car feel free to pm me.

I have a injen CAI and i got it from my buddy's own business he runs, so he gave me "his" deal of $205 plus free 2day shipping. i knew i got a great deal, but the coupler it came with was a yucky blueish/plumish color. i think its ugly on my red car, but it does scream, 1st time you'll hear it you will cream your pants, completely different sound from stock. AND i had some rubbing issues with the injen rubbing on my frame. i just had to re adjust it a bit. the kit came with this little rubber peice to cover metal edges which i used but is basicly pointless. maybe the ingalls engine torque damper helped with the intake movement a bit but im not sure, since its on the opposite end of the motor. if you get a injen just make sure its in there ""perfectly"" or you might run into rubbing issues. i almost rubbed a slit right into the intake tub e after only owning it for 1month. if i could go back in time i would definetly would have orderd a ZZP CAI. i think it being 2 peices helps with the rubbing issue. plus zzp's price is a bit more reasonable and its custom made/powdercoated.

How well does the zzp or ottp intake fit? If it's not just a drop in and bolt up perfectly i'll just go with an injen
Thats not entirely true you can do a custom exhaust for your car fairly cheap and still get a 3 inch intake like others have suggested. Just get this part right here:

CTI 2.5 Over Axel Replacement for after market muffler - Over The Top Performance And then a muffler of your choice like magnaflow, borla etc.

Maybe you haven't been looking hard enough.

Or maybe its because I've lived in Ohio the last 14 years and I just moved back to Texarkana a week ago.

Agreed. Although I like the thought of a 1-piece better. I think the 2-piece was kind of a bitch, and it had to be readjusted a few times, I guess that's what you get with a multiple piece intake though.

And for wheel hop, yes, get the rotated trans mounts. F&^% the motor mount and the ingalls TD. They're both worthless. I don't care who says otherwise. Neither of them control back and forth movement as much as rotated trans mounts do.

If you're hell-bent on getting a mount for the motor though, get a motor mount, the ingalls TD is a joke. Like I said I'd stay stock for the motor mount, but that's my $0.02 and I don't really care to explain myself other than if you want your cheap interior to feel even cheaper and rattle apart, get a motor mount.

Polyurethane crap is HIGHLY over-rated these days, mostly due to high failure rate and poor performance.

if you really want to hold that motor in place look up bwoody solid motor mounts. Personal experience, they are amazing.
