I think the general idea with this sc is that it's not worth it because of the incredible amount of energy needed to spin it.

hmm. so not worth it as a cheap'ish upgrade then, fair enough

have built my engine up with low compression pistons ready for the harrop but now im hear i dont know whether i can justify it! are the gains that good?

agreed, the 1900 is barely better than the Harrop 1320 when on a proper setup. I read the article in the magazine where they did this and it made 320 on an engine dyno. That is with cams/header/dualpass and without a trans attached for drivetrain losses.
The 1320 can make closer to 350 WHP on E85 with minimal engine mods

yep the bigger blower would really show benefits if you were running like 30psi... but in general if anyone is going to do that, they're already got a turbo

joe the thing with the TVS is you have to really spin the rpm's high. and you will need some form of e85, methanol injection, or race gas to make some really good power

I was just going to get a tvs with a small pulley

will do this when I can justify it I suppose!

Don't suppose anyone has any blower cams and a smoothflow 2.7 pulley for sale do they?!

Or a harrop for sale lol!

i'm trying for 300whp on the m62... just to hold me over until i can talk myself into paying for the twincharge kit. I'm hoping that it'll be really close without meth... won't know until everything gets back on though.. got a hell of a port job on the head with oversized valves, getting everything ceramic coated then all the usual blower/tb porting i/h/e etc... and it'll be with a damn 2.5" exhaust, not a raspy crapfest 3" system

the blower is just P&P'd it's stupid to ceramic coat that because you want the heat to leave, not stay in. it would be a really good idea to put a thermal dispersant on it though.
