blow off valve?

these are strictly limited to turbcharged engines right?
or can it be for superchargers as well?

I don't understand why people want to put a BOV on their supercharged motor. Turbo guys would kill to get the scream that we are capable of. If noise is what you want check out the Mustang at the begining:

If you can honestly watch that video and still even think about putting a BOV on your SS then something is seriously wrong with you.

we can't change the valve on our cars anyways. it's internal (meaning inside the blower). Even if you did have an external bov on a supercharger it's a waste of $$

The supercharger whine should be good enough!

I drive a turbocharged car, and do have a BOV. I like that its a Tial and only does a burst dump of air, and not a stupid whistle. But BOV's are funtional items on a turbo car. They prevent damage to the turbo when you slam the throttle blade shut and stops compressor surge, which shortens the bearing life on a turbo.

You don't have that problem with a supercharger.
