blow up?

my engine recently blew up, the 2 piston had a gouge taken out and was beat to hell and i had a 2.8 with 60lbs and a tune and it ran well for awhile but then it started knocking under full throttle but but i think and am convinced what did it was instead of one range colder plugs i had two range colder and gapped .037 then i was told to gap them .040 so i did then soon after was when i had the problem and the tune was fine ...didnt seem to show knock but if anyone has some suggestions for the next time let me know ... i think it was that i put the two range colder plugs in tho.

It was not the plugs it was probably you being to lean or to much timing.

Also define what is "blown up?"

blown up as in my 2nd cylinder lost all compression and i was driving and it caused pressure to build in the block and shoot the dip stick out of the tube and shoot oil all over my engine compartment and then my car sounded like a wrx lol

as for my AFR i'm really not sure but i did have just a cobalt autometer a/f gauge and it ran really rich before the injectors and tune and it seem to run just right( pretty much in stoich closer to rich ) and i ran with this set up for about a month before it started acting up at all and in the middle of the month i did adjust the gap just a little bit with the plugs

SORRY had to bring this back to the top. Your a/f your not sure what it was? It was close to stoich? Why did you have that gauge and not a number gauge? Yeah for all i know is your motor should have blown up, you have no idea what you were doing or what your supposed to be doing. You need to do some searching or something. Not trying to be mean but your post made me say wtf. After you get your new motor in, try getting a wideband gauge with some numbers on it 10-17. and a interceptor. Learn what both do and how to read them and then go WOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
