Boost bypass/Loose Vacuum hose

So I believe I have a loose hose on my bypass contoller/bypass valve. It is very loose as in... pretty much falls off with a slight tug... It is the hose in the left of the Pic that is attached:

What sort of issues would this cause? The car holds 12-14psi and has no CEL. Is there something else that could be bypassing this so that there is no vaccuum leak? I dont understand why the car runs perfectly with no driveability issues or CEL but it seems I should have a leak and I am still holding boost.

Can you go out and do a pull and it still be connected? If so, you should be okay. I'd still replace it

Yeah, it stays over the nipple, but there is no way it is holding the entire vacuum. I plan on replacing it tonight, I was just curious why there are no issues, since a non-issue for something like this seems bad.

Egh you'd be surprised. A lot of the hoses are like that actually. Just over the nipple/whatever they connect too.

I can take the hose off with my little finger... I replaced it on my lunchbreak today... Not sure whats different, maybe it was holding vacuum...

Anyone know what that line does? Does it have vaccum/boost when the car boosts?... At idle there is no pressure on that line. I know that it connects the the boost bypass and the switch, but I dont fully understand the operation of how it vents the boost (like which lines have pressure/vacuum)

that line dosent have a vacum source its a pressure line when the pcm tell boost bypass solenoid to open to regulate how much the blower is pushing it ports pressure to the bypass actuator to open it up

Thanks, that is what I was looking for. So essentially what I had before I fixed this line was a boost leak?

How does that sensor and the diaphraghm actuator work together? There are two lines going into the sensor, this one, a vac line from the intake then the vent to atmosphere. The diaphram appears to be shut at idle, so when it needs to release boost, why doesnt it just open and vent the bosst there, why does it need a line going into the switch and then vent through the switch?

the bypass solenoid is depowered open and is controled be the pcm. now if the pcm see's certain conditions like an over boost or iat2 mega over temp or user defined through hpt it will kill power to the bypass solenoid which opens it up and that ports the pressure from from the intake manifold through the solenoid to the bypass actuator and opens it up to limit the boost or cut it completly

as for a boost leak no it isent i would just put a zip tie on that line to secure it
