Boost Gauge
mechanical and electrical differ in thier reading i believe. a electrical reads from the PCM which i beleive isnt as accurate and a mechanical reads from the O2 sensor which is more accurate, our stock is electrical i believe
i know that i know the info but i think i might have got it jumbled around haha.

A mechanical will read straight from a vaccum hose running off the intake manifold/super. It has nothing to do with a O2 sensor. An O2 sensor reads air fuel ratios in the exhaust

it'll fit, but if its loose just take some electrical tape put it around the guage to where you dont see it of course and basically it acts like its part of the guage to where it makes it nice and snug into the guage pod
2 and 1/16th will fit in the pod.
so yes 2 inch will work.
i had a 2 inch in for a while, i just put a wrap of electrical tape around the inside of the gauge to keep it snug
edit: haha beat me to it

Neither one is better imo. The difference in the reading is so minuscule it doesn't really matter. The only problem i have heard with the electrical ones are that the spring gets worn out and it doesn't function properly after a while. I heard that was for the stock ones at least.
