boost limiter?
boost limiter?
i hear some people going all the way to a 2.5 pulley and not needing to do anything else to there car except buy a boost controller
they set there psi at like 17 but get all the full torque of the 2.5
what is the boost controller called and how much does it cost????
and if u do do this is it true that you will not need anything else done to your car so it doesnt blow up?

There are lots of places to get boost controllers from. I'm not sure of the best places, but you can check out boostcontroller . com.
When you limit boost you do protect from overboosting and causing damage. You don't get the "full" effect of having the smaller pulley though. You do get the higher HP and torque at the lower RPM bands, but at the higher RPMs you get limited to what you have the boost set at. So if you set it at 17 lbs of boost, and have a 2.5 pulley you may max out boost at 5000 RPM, so essentially you do not increase the HP or torque anymore past that point, it simply levels off.
If you want to run a 2.5 pulley with stock internals you can, I am sure there are quite a few on here that are doing it. Whether it is safe or not is a different debate. You will need to put on an aftermarket tensioner and a smaller belt if wanting to run a 2.5 pulley.
