stock injectors have a bright green top, so you have aftermarket injectors for sure. if the connector is the same as the ones pictured they are likely the same injectors, and those are 42lb/hr. the ecm would have had to be tuned for them or it would idle very rich and throw codes.
the pulley is on the extreme side for those injectors. does the pulley have the 4 blue bolts holding it on? are there are distinct markings on it? with the diameter you gave id assume the previous owner installed a gm stage 2 kit and then put the stage 3 pulley on.
The pulley has four blue bolts. It says 71.9mm on it. Nothing else.
The only wierdness with the car is it doesn't like to be lugged at all. It seems to be getting better the more I drive it. The idle bounced a little the first time I drove it but it doesn't do it anymore. There is just slight hesitation at low rpms.
It has the stock airbox. Not sure if it has the mod or not. But the supercharger is fairly audible. I bought a cheap intake for it to test out I was hoping with the stage 2 tune it wouldn't throw a code with it.
not sure if the car was on ebay or anything. i bought it from a dealership.
with the gm stage 2 running a bit rich, would adding a mid length header take up the slack or am i going to need to get it tuned?
i do not like the loud muffler and i plan on putting something like a turbo thrush muffler on it. i don't care how much top end it loses i can't take the sound. when i want to hear the s/c i have to dip into it enough that the exhaust is blasting. i dont want to draw unneeded attention
oh another thing. could you choose which spoiler you want when you bought them? most of the SS SC i see have the bigger spoiler. just curious i don't mind this one or the other one for that matter
You will be fine with an intake and full exhaust. Even a cat less downpipe. Word of advice. If you can run my old exhaust. It be great.
I ran a Bad Mab header. Zzp downpipe with high flow cat. Corsa touring cat back. Sounded so goooooooood
i havent' gotten under the car to look and see what exhaust is even on there. i did look in the engine bad and see that it still has the stock exhaust manifold and downpipe. not sure what muffler is on there now and if it even has a cat or resonator.
i had a turbo thrush muffler on a acura integra i turbocharged a long time ago and it killed the HP but it was not loud lol
As predicted the eBay intake as it comes didn't work right. It fit fine and looks good but the angle of the maf must be messing things up. It ran fine but had no power past like 4k rpms. I'm going to cut it up and use the existing hard plastic piece of the pipe and there was already a metal piece at the end with a aem filter on it.
the vacuum lines going to and from the boost bypass valve were really cracked and shitty. it didn't seem like they were leaking just from me plugging it and blowing into it. but i put a new vacuum line on from the supercharger to the valve, and i bought two vacuum plugs and blocked off the route from the solenoid to the bypass valve.
i have gm stage 2 ecm so im not seeing any more boost. (i see 14-15psi). but it does put out a lot of boost part throttle which i like for cruising around... but it probably doesn't do much but use more gas lol
