the car just feels like it doesn't have quite as much power but i might just be getting used to it. lol.

i ran it for a little bit with the maf disconnecte and it obviously ran like ass hole but i just had to move the car. i cleared the code after i put it back together. not sure what impact if anything that could have in the computer to make it lose some power.

anyone know what the bottom nipple is for on the solenoid that goes to the bypass valve? just a reference line to use for something else?

After driving it again it definitely has the same power. Not sure why it felt slower before. Maybe it was a heat issue since I had been just in town starting and stopping the car.

Definitely still runs hard.

I think I like the bypass mod with the stage 2. Its fun because it sounds like I'm getting more sc whine at part throttle. Same max boost though about 15psi

Hey, I bought a modified 06 cobalt ss supercharged. I went an hour away to buy the car and I needed gas to get back home, I accidentally filled up 87 gas and when I got home I noticed a loud knocking coming from my engine bay???? Did I mess something up? if so what is? Lol dumb mistake I know

Did it start making noise after you were romping on it? I highly doubt it since these engines have knock sensors and would dial back timing with shitty gas. Unless it had a tune or something where it wasn't possible.

Just driving with 87 shouldnt do it.

Unusually a pre ignition engine caused blow up would break a piston or something and it wouldn't run at all

I figured out why it feels faster sometimes than others the intercooler pump wasn't working when I checked...

I tried smacking it from the top and nothing changed lol

It's a wonder what that pump will do for the power. When I bought mine (bone stock I believe) it had a bum ICP and clogged and completely unusable air filter. Couldn't hardly hear the SC. Ever since I got the pump and did the trusty Spectre cone filter airbox mod, it's ran like a new car.

And 87 Octane gas guy... should be fine as long as it's on stock tune and for the love of God please put 93+ and full synthetic oil in it 😂

I jacked car up and smacked it with hammer started working again...

The power difference is significant. At least when it's hear soaked.

I'm going to buy one of those obdii Bluetooth things and hook it up to my phone to monitor stuff.

Did it before on my old Cummins but can't find the Bluetooth thing

The torx bits holding the cover over the plugs were all rounded off so i put off putting new plugs in.... but I managed to pound one size larger into it and get them out...

Car has been hesitating at low rooms and in-between shifts and this morning it missed really hard on a 2nd gear wot pull... Really annoying.

Not sure what the cause was going in but I put the 1 step colder ngk 7s gaped to about 0.033 plugs in. It looks like maybe the stockers were in there... They were the ngk 6 plugs and we're gapped like 0.040 or more.

edit:

just drove it and it seems to run much smoother and i don't get the horrible hesitation between shifts and low rpm. it still bogs bad at very low rpms but hey its a 4 cylinder.

That's the evap line (assuming you're talking about the line on the blower by the throttle body)
