Brake smell

Everytime I brake hard my brakes smell really bad inside and out. No pulsating and brakes on a dime. I checked them out to see if there were any grooves and none. I don't see any braking problems but the smell has to go. Should I ask my dealership to replace them? Is something wrong with them?

Hmm that's strange. Take it to the dealer. Maybe your brakes are rubbing against the the rotors very slightly and heat up a bit, then when you go to brake they heat up even more causing it to smell. Go to the dealer before you spend like $1,000-$2,000 on that big brake kit.

Hey I kinda thought my caliber was rubbing, gonna have to take the wheel off. When i washed my car the other day i forgot to let it kool down and I got alot of water on my breaks and one of them started to smoke alot more than the other.. Im thinking a problem with my left side front rotor.. Gonna hope for some nice weather and check it out. If nothing then im going to dealership... I HATE that smell..
