Brakes for the SS

What are Good Performance pads to replace the fronts with?? And when should the backs be replaced?? I guess just check by eye and see if theres a decent amount left on the rear brakes.....or do people have a time to change them i.e. every 3 fronts do 1 rear?

Thanks

Hmm, personally I would just recommend staying with the stock pads. I have heard they will lock up the tires at any less than 80 mph. Any aftermarket pad will excessively wear and warp you rotors from the extra heat.

Visual inspection of the rear pads is the best way to tell when to replace them. Based on how you drive you may need to replace the backs after 50,000 or you might be able to make 100,000... it all depends.

When you hear the wear sliders make the brakes screach it's time to replace them. No point doing it before. Your just wasting a good pad. Unless of course your driving it hard. Then I'd check and replace them when I thought it was time to replace them after a visual inspection.
