Brake boost

Has anyone tried or know if it is possible for us to break boost in our cars?

I know you can in turbo cars I was just wondering about supercharged cars. I don't really want to try it for fear of the breaks going out.

It's not necessary. The moment you put your foot down you're boosting.

very true didn't even think of that but it weems that starting your run boosting 11 would be better than hing to build boost. I guess since this is used in roll races youd already be building boost?

For one I think that is supposed to be "brake." I think they are talking about holding the brake down to control car travel speed while increasing the throttle to increase boost.

It's an attempt to compensate for turbo lag. Not necessary on a blown vehicle.

YOu ride the break why pushing the gas at a roll to build boost then let off the break and you should get a nice little boost. Although this works on turbos and I am still unsure of on superchargers it can make your brakes go out.

Riding the brakes with the car in motion and applying the throttle isn't good for your BRAKES; it creates unnecessary heat and wear. It's one thing to hold a car still at the line but another to ride the brakes while driving and trying to increase boost.

Ha, funny. I'm just educated like that. There is a very big difference b/n BREAK and BRAKE. I'm sorry but poor grammar and spelling just shows a lack of education and/or intelligence. Yeah, some people aren't good spellers and that's all cool but when people talk and write incorrectly just because they are lazy then I have a problem with that.
Cashstacker, no offense intended. I just find a lot of people on this site that seem to type it however it comes out, without any thought. When I see an aftermarket website that uses "your" instead of "you're" and constanly misspells easy words then I think that they are too cheap to get a good editor and are half assing it.

Maybe it would be a good idea if we had a spell check on here. Then again they lazy bums that don't care just wouldn't use it.

I never claimed to be perfect?? What's your point?? There are some people on here that probably can't spell all the names of their family members. There is also a difference between a typo and a misspelling. A typo is when you type something incorrectly, different than you intended and don't catch it. A misspelling is when you repeatedly spell a word incorrectly because you don't know any better.

Just thought while we were at it that I'd clarify the difference between the two.
Anyway, we gotta get off of this and get this thread back on track.

AHHAHHA, this is too easy.

So now you are going to cover up your misspelling of misspell with the, "it was a "type-o"" argument. Don't you mean it was a typo. HAHHAHAHAHA, just quit while you still have your good sentence and paragraph structure.

Actually I did type "typo" but "type-o" is not incorrect.

We are not talking about blood types, so it is incorrect.
