Break in - Stage 2

For those with stage 2 how has the car been running. I have read a few times that it took some WOT runs, starting, running and shutting down over the course of a couples days for everything to start to flow well and for the car to really start putting power down.

Stage 2 was installed today and I love it but it's not pulling as hard as I thought it would. Is there any truth to what I have read? Thought it would be best to ask stage 2 guys themselves.

Or is it just all in my head. Thanx guys.

I dont have stage 2, but with most power mods, it might take a few days for the computer to read everything and welcome the new power into the sysetm per say.

It took mine a good 150 miles for everything to be 100%. And it took me that long to get used to the new redline and the way the car drove after the kit went on.

Give some time. I did not think it was that big of diff at first ether and than after a day with it and almost 200 miles It was a totaly differant car.

It does take time for your car to "learn" itself. But I say just machine the snout, put a 2.6" pulley, and put a race pipe in place of the cat, and it'll pull just fine.

For those of you who've had the stage 2 for more than 2 days and about 50 miles of driving: Did you see the biggest differnce after putting the car through a variety of conditions (i.e. WOT runs and normal driving in traffic) or did that bit of extra performance just come on steadily with just everyday driving?

My stage II has worked out nicely. It is very torquey now and a little more difficult to drive in traffic. It seeemed to really break in after the first time I hit 15 psi or 14.5 whatever it was. Not to mention I threw in a bottle of FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER, it worked wonders. You have to remember there were some dirty hands all over those during install so I recomend putting a bottle in your tank after getting stage I or II.

Once the kit is installed it requires no break in. The kit pulls the way I thought it would. I was quite impressed at first. You really gotta use that new redline to notice it.
