then go with vibrant race headers 4-2-1 + downpipe. and finish it off with a nice catback of your choice

and from what i've heard on the CA header, its the same size collector as stock so the gains would not be as good as a nicely crafted header with a 2.5-3.0" collector would be idea if you plan on doing a full exhaust set up

well personaly i've always done it this way. make it breath right, and make it run cool then throw in the injectors and boost. but maybe i'm doing it wrong... i hade no idea that the collector was the same size.. thats kinda gay. Would the vibrant 4-2-1 bolt up to the stock DP and would the stock header gasket work if i went to GM and bought a new one before i installed it? or do they send a gasket for the block and DP with it?

Yea, i think that is why the CA header is so cheap because their first batch was the same size as stock and they're trying to get rid of their inventory before releasing a larger header. the Vibrant 4-2-1 is a package deal that includes a downpipe aswell, however it is 2 pieces. it looks incredibly well crafted and the company has a great reputation. It should fit without any modifications. Unfortunatly you just missed the group buy on them lol

if funding is tight you could always go with the CA header and downpipe though. supposidly CA saw a 10hp gain i believe from their header on a 2.4L SS. Still not bad, but imo the collector is still a little small.

check this thread out for more info on the header. that supporting vendor sells them, not sure of the price. But i havnt really looked around anywhere else for them. I only drive a 2.4 and debating a turbo so header/dp will not be coming anytime soon

the size of the collector should depend on which DP you plan on going with and how much boost you plan to run, not to mention power output and RPMs should be considered also. bigger isnt always better
