Buying GMS2 from CED and installing at chevy Q
So CED has the Stage 2 kit for about 200 dollars cheaper then my stealership, but I was wondering how the tune works, I know everyone says its a canned tune, but how would that work in my situation, do I get a PCM from CED? or just show them my receipt and they'll install it?

the tune is download to you stock pcm by the dealership, it will run pig rich
if you are concern about your warranty then go for it.
if not it is a waste of money.
i used to have gm stage 2 and after 1 month i want more and more and more and more

should be. they know whats involved with the install of stg2
there is a code on the paperwork that comes with the kit that they enter into dealerworld that allows them to download it to the tech 2 and then program the pcm

well what im trying to say is that if I come in already having all the stuff, the pulley injectors and blah blah, theyll install it and charge me a little extra for the Gm tune plus labor

Well it's not going to be downloaded for free. Call the stealership and get a quote on the GM tune install only. Make sure you explain to them that the pulley, injectors and belt will be installed already. I can't imagine it taking more then an hour. I think labor is around $75 an hour?

Yeah on the site for my chevy dealership it says 800 ish for the kit, 1000 installed, so I'm assuming like 300 hopefully for install with the tune

$300 dollars to plug in a Tech III and download the tune? You need to call around and ask some questions. You can get a real tune for $300. If you're doing the install, look into a tuner in your area.
