Buying stage 2 Question

I found someone who has a stage 2 kit from gm. Was bought but never installed. If I buy this kit, will I still be able to have the dealership install it on my car and keep my warranty? I know that the kits are registered to the VIN, but is it still VIN specific if it hasn't been installed? Thanks guys. I tried searching but didn't come up with this answer.

It's just like ordering a genuine S2 kit from anyone. If the number (included in the kit) they use to flash your car hasn't been used then you're fine.

OK I got you. I just knew that when you order engine parts, places like CED want your VIN so I didn't know if it would make it only for that car, and I really need to keep my warranty for the year I have left! Thanks a lot!

They only ask for your VIN so they can make sure you're getting the right parts for YOUR car

It's all good

exactly, the parts aren't vin specific. Just want to make sure that you are getting the right parts. I work for a chevy dealer and can get the stage 2 kit for anyone for $525 new. Let me know if anyone wants one.
