Bwoody Motor Mounts

Hey guys... i just got my Bwoody motor mounts instaleed in my car. I will picking it up tomorow from my mechanic. He works mostly on SRT-4's and he said that I have more vibration in my car from the motor mounts then any srt-4 with aftermarket motor mounts.... Is this normal and will id loosen up a bit over time? I had filled motor mounts in my srt-4 and the vibration was noticiable on the passenger side more then the drivers side, so i know i should expect some vibration. but he said it has ALOT of vibration.

If they are like the TTR mount, then you will get a hell of a lot of vibration. Especially in 1st gear and if you bog it. You'll notice how long your engine hangs on to revs too. I can't wait to get my exedy + fly in.

The one Cobalt I drove with Bwoody mounts vibrated much more severly than any other mount I know of. If it ends up being too much, try Intense's poly transmission mount inserts.

You *****.

The BWoody's will settle in and loosen up, mine took almost 3k miles though. Did you get all 3 mounts or just the lower and upper 2 kit?

Oh I also had the exedy clutch kit installed too... that clutch owns! I am so happy that it doesn't catch as high as the stock one!

I was suprised at the vibes with the TTR mount too, especially with everything rattling around on the crappy dash before the mount was installed.
I know this is off topic. My exedy clutch has been sitting in my room more than a month, hopefully this sat morn i can get it installed. I've been waiting for the right price for the install. Anyways, how's the pedal effort? How long did it take, I'm guessign a good while since you're now just getting it home. Are you hearing noise from the trany like the exedy manual says? Do you notice a difference with the new flywheel? Its 10lb lighter than stock I believe.

The pedal effert might be slightly more, but the way it grips is awesome. I didn't hear any noice... but then again i had my music on and the car was shaking from the Motor Mounts . over all.... happy with the clutch... motor mounts i will comment later after i put some miles on and see if they settle in.

Also, When i had my clutch installed and the motor mounts put in, I had the guy eliminate the "idiot" reverse lockout.... No more annoying lifting up to get the car in reverse!!!!

Ok... I drove the car over 200 miles today after i got the motor mounts put in, and i have to say i hate all the vibration... I am more then likely going to get them removed and sell them!

Lol I don't know why people hate them. Oh well. They will settle in and be a little less violent, but it will take time with the BWoody's.

I had filled mounts in my srt-4 and they weren't half as bad... I drive 200 miles round trip a day. and sometimes in sit and go traffic, and it is alittle too much for my taste. So as soon as i can get them removed, i will be putting them up for sale. until then the car wikll sit.

Haha, it is annoying with all the rattling the dash in the car does even before the mounts. I think I'm just getting over the phase you are going through right now. When I put it on last weekend, I was "man, did I make a mistake" But today I'm "lets go all the way" trans and CABs are on the way. I never had a race car before :p

The vibs are that bad? That sucks. I wanted a full set of all Bwoody products. Wanted to get all 3 mounts, and Bwoody traction bars.

When exactly is the break in period on BWoody's, there are redline members that have OVER 7500 miles on the Bwoody mount and STILL COMPLAIN that the vibs are horrable.

You may not think they are bad, but many members do and you being basically sponsored by them, but don't miss lead members on this forum, stating they settle in.

They settle in around 1000miles.......also it don't matter if I'm sponsored by them or not. If they make a good product I will say so.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion

Just want to make sure all members were aware that there are many others stating the vibs do not go away quickly on the BWoody. Check out Redline forums and you will see the long term vibs they are having.

We are only stating this as we SUPPORT this forum very well, and want to make sure we can assist all members to help them find the items they are looking for and how they function.
