a/c problem?

so when the a/c is on and i put the car in neutral the rpms drop to about 4-500 then bounce back up to about 1500 and back to idle... why is it doing this? it only does it when the a/c is on... anyone else havin this problem?

A/C compressor and clutch assembly.

Just my first guess.. and it wont be too cheap. kindof odd on a newer car though.

i was actually thinking about making a thread about this a few days ago, mine does this too. earlier this week we had days of 96-100, windows down wasn't cutting it. It feels so weird, it does make me actually stop at stop signs so i can wait for the idle to come back up though.

edit: jesus i didnt realize how old this thread was

It's compensating for the load u put on it ( turning the a/c on )
