Hey i just ordered the ca heat exchanger. I was so pumped i called the today o see if it shipped to my suprise they are backordered. I am so bumbed now any body else waiting for the exchanger.

 

they were supposed to be in almost 2 weeks ago... manufacturer backorder still. Waiting on one for an install over here myself (not for my car though)

I did have one on mine for a while.. but since turbo is going in soon.... well yeah.. need room for the FMIC

 

i wish i could get an exact date. i dont want to wait a month or so

 

should be very soon. I should be there tomorrow night, so hopefully I get some info for ya

i ordered my on feburary 27 with my stage 5, everytime i call i get attitude and a whole bunch of "i dont give a f***" i freaked out on the guy the other day because he kept telling me for the past 2 minths that it should be "this week" well i got tired of hearing that...but i wouldnt expect it anytime soon.

 

Unfortunately the manufacturer is the one holding them up. and that's the excuse they Keep giving C/a as for the I don't give a **** comment .. I highly doubt that was ever said to you unless you were being a real ***** (and from what I"ve seen no one ever tells anybody about that part) I know John (who answers the phones) personally, and he is a damn nice guy and I know wouldn't ever say that to a customer. They are nice guys and I doubt a conversation like that happened. anyway, I"ll be there tonight and wil pass along whatever info I get.

 

any word about if they have come in yet. I bought a heat exchanger two weeks ago and am very impatient. any idea when they should come in.

 

Yah im waiting on mine too, kenny emailed me today saying that they should be in the week of the 14th

 

ok i never said that he said those exact words, all i said was that was the immpession i got. that he really didnt care. he has lied to me for the past 2 months and i was/am a little pissed. if he didnt know when they were coming he should have said he didnt know, not lie to me and say "sometime this week" everytime i called. And if it is the the company holding them back, they can find a new one. its not that hard. i am working ata shop that if family owned and when companies give us ****, we find new companies.

 

I hear ya man... but they've been getting the run around too... so they aren't lying to you. Unfortunately I didn't get over there cause Kenny left early to bring donna's balt to another show. But I"ll be meeting up with John and Matt from there and I"ll see if they have any new info

 

Not to be an ass but I hear it alot from CA too. I kinda gave up on something that was going on. Still waiting for a call, its been awhile. Wanted to spend some cash but thats fine it can just sit and gain some intrest.

 

so who actually makes them then?

 

It took me a month and a half to get mine and he kept saying it will be shipping out in a couple of days everytime i called him. They should tell people whats going on with the orders and tell us they dont know when we are going to get more in instead of "we will get them in tomorrow". and when i finally got mine and everyone that saw it said the welds sucked and the cooling fins where crushed in the middle of the heatexchanger which kind of pissed me off. but i learned a lesson dont order from Cobalt-Addiction.

CA could at least put on their website that their items are on backorder if they dont have any and dont just leave us hangin

 

like when i ordered my dual pass intercooler and pillar pod i got it within a week , i dont understand go to a different distributor of the product if their current supplier is giving them the run around. this is the first time i ever experienced this kind of service from them, its very disappointing. also i started a thread like this andit was locked. i think we should be able to express our opinions about companies who we are buying stuff off of,i mean i dont want to buy a product off someone who has a bad reputation.

 

I dunno man... mine was fine and I never had an issue... I sold it a few months back to buy new axles and it's still going strong

/unfortunately there aren't many distributors making a heat exchanger that size for us for that price.....

 

I ordered mine about 2 months ago. Still waiting on it. But it's not CA's fault. There manufacturer is the one who is dicking around. I think the manufacturer is somewhere on the west coast so all CA can tell us is what they are told. I just spoke to them today and they said the H/E's should be in late next week.

Oh yeah and one other thing. I have ordered almost $2000 in parts from CA and have gotten everything within a week and nothing was broke.

 

they say that everyweek. "they said the H/E's should be in late next week" i know its not their fault but it is their fault when people order parts from them and they dont tell thim its on backorder if i would have known i would have bought something else

ok here's what happened. He has 25 units on backorder which were supposed to be in three weeks ago. Last week he only rec 8 units which were shipped out right away to the first 8 people. Manufacturer promised the rest would be in this coming week so we shall see. And they've been getting the run around from this guy for a few weeks now, so it's not really their fault. Just be patient for a little bit longer and you'll be happy with the results.

 

as long as the heat exchanger is of quality work i will no complain about waiting,if the welds look like **** because of rushing the products to be made then ill be pissed.
