CA Stage 3 Questions

I have the CA stage3 and have had it for over a year now. In December I lost my piston rings shot oil all over the motor and had a small fire. Well, I installed a used motor with 22k miles on it. On the old motor I would push between 18 and 20 PSI at WOT. Now with the same tune, pulley, injectors, intake, header, everything, I only run 16 tops. Now I'm breaking in a new clutch and flywheel so I've only accelerated in 3rd and it leveled off at 16. But I was just wondering what could cause the lose of the boost. Could the new motor need to be broke in to the higher boost over what it was handling stock? That doesn't make any sense to me though. I had the motor installed by a GM master tech at the dealership so it should be done right. I pretty sure I don't have any boost leaks as the car idles and runs fine. The only difference is now I'm running a Stock downpipe with an emptied out cat instead of the catless XTC dp I was running. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

i cant answer you questions but i would advise you to change your tune, your canned CA tune is what most likely blew your engine the first time, and if thats the case it will do the same thing to you new engine, a custom tune is ALWAYS better then a preset generic tune.

When going from motor to motor, there are tolerances. No 2 motors are the same. Some guys get 215whp stock while others get 200whp.

So basically just get my meth and tune her and see what she does then? I'm parting out a motor to get the money up for the meth and tune so if you need any parts of the whole motor let me know.

My interceptor doesn't read vacuum in the same way that the stock gauge does. It's confusing. I believe it's right though.

negative 10psi is roughly 19in/hg

2.7" pulley on 42# injectors is bad. either lose teh 42#s and the CA tune, or lose the 2.7" pulley and get a 2.9"

I paid for upgraded injectors and he said he would change the tune to handle them. Now if he did I don't know, maybe that's why I blew!

I have an entire 2.0 that lost the piston rings on one cylinder and blew the dip stick out. So it's itting here complete, def looking at parting her out if you need some parts.
