Its not hard to do. unhook glove box at the top, the tether and two supports, so it drops down. It is located behind there, I did mine after 2 years and it was a mess. I do mine every 6 months now, its gross everytime. Damn AZ

Oh and holy **** 136k miles!

for one you have a dual exhaust... How long is your resonator? mine quieted down with a 24", I can never remember, you can get bigger too.

Looks like I'll be doing mine soon.

90k without swap..I might find a squirrel in there!

Just curious, how hard is it to get to the fan in there? Mine started chirping.

Ya, I read it here before. Mine just recently started doing it. So most of the time it's either all the way on, or off. If I put it on setting 4, I cant hear it.

FYI that is NOT dirt... the factory cabin air filter has activated carbon on it to help purify the air. It is naturally darker than the cheap filters from advance, etc.

Mine looks about that after 6 months.
i had a 30" glasspack resonator in there for a while, but i still wasnt happy after a few months when the glass burned out of it. so i swapped it with a 4" round magnaflow muffler and it made it louder, but took out the raspy sound.

the dual exhaust isnt anydifferent than single. i actually had one pipe running for a year and its slightly louder than the two now. the pipe is split into a Y after the rear axle....it has no effect on the sound of the exhaust when its done like that. if anything, splitting the pipe in rear will quiet it down a little bit, like it did for me....but its hardly noticable

is a glasspack and resonator different??

It could be dirty, but the difference you are seeing between the two filters is not just dirt. The factory ones look that way brand new.
