CAI for 2007 question!!! please answer
anyone know if any of the K&N, fujita or injen CAIs will fit a 2007 cobalt ss/sc? most of what i have found shows them only for 2005 or 2006.

yes.....do you think your 07 is any different (fitment wise) then the 05/06?
yes,
your 07 is in no way different in fitment then an 05/06

The 07's ABS controller and hard lines are different than the 05-06's but usually the CAI's will work (our Fujita hit them). Ours also hits the fender liner no matter how its positioned and pushes the liner out just far enough even though its snapped in place correctly the tire wore a hole on hard fast right turns. The cure for this is to not bolt down the vibration mount and twist the lower tube/filter away from the liner. In our case I thoiught since the liner snapped back into place it wasnt pushing on it hard enough to cause the problem with tire and it was too late and the hole appeared in less than a day.
The whole ABS top section is turned 45 or 90 degrees (I forget which but it is) different on the 07's and lines ARE routed differently than the 05-06's below the intake and they will hit the rubber coupler off the throttle body in almost all brands.
This is why no aftermarket CAI says they are for 07's because they know GM changed the ABS controller in 07 and it might not fit right! Here is the pictures of the 07 ABS lines and ABS top section, so you can see the differences between the years.
The intakes will fit, the coupler just hits 2 or 3 hard lines and smashes it up some from underneath. The rubber coupler can probably be cut and shortened some off the TB but that throws angle off to line up the rest down the line and it still hits some. Some brand CAI's clear them by less, some by more.
With some twisting, trimming etc., they can be made to work without hitting them much I suppose, but they are not made to fit like the previous 05-06's where the ABS junction box is turned the other way and lines not interfering.

FINALLY...
Someone posts up pics of what I was saying in the other thread.
Now the routing of the ABS lines may or may not cause you problems... but you'll have to try that for yourself to find out... from what I've heard the only intake confirmed to fit a 2007 model by the manufacturer was the AEM.

k&n works, kind of... the "z" bracket does connect by i just left it on there and works great. i check it once a month to see if anything is wrong with it.
wrong, brake lines for the abs are different. you should research b4 posting.

and as for research you need to go back and read my post.....i never said that nothing at all was different i simply said that CAI fitment was un-effected. i myself have installed an injen, K&N and AEM all on various local 07's.
you should read before posting.
"wrong" is the correct wording.

I have a **** ton of type-O's but rarely do i catch one from somebody else.
as for your intake fitment issues and ABS line interference i honestly dont know what you could be doing to have an issue, like i said i have seen and done at least 3 CAI's on 07's in the semi-local area to me.
i even ordered one for the guy and never had this issue.
