CAI warranty question
CAI warranty question
I been thinking about putting an intake on my car but I don't want to void the warranty. So my question is if I put the cai on and if the engine light comes on it stores the problem/intake code so the dealer would know the intake was tampered with if I put the stock one back on then bring it in. the dealer would see the stored code. now if I clear the codes when the stock one is back on would they still have any indication that I tampered with the intake?

Most aftermarket company's products are considered = or > than OEM.
There are laws that prevent a dealership from voiding a warranty unless the product in question conclusively caused the problem that needs warranty service.
I.E. Your dealer can't void your warranty when you're having transmission problems if all you have is an intake and exhaust.
But if you have nitrous, and you take the car in for a blown piston
warranty
but when i take the stock 1 off to put a CAI on would it store some sort of code about the intake. i just want to make sure theres a way to clear the codes completly i just dont want to have to deal with any bs from the dealers.
yeah i know theres a law and all this but i heard to many stories i just dont want to deal with the BS they find ways to BS you and give you a hard time.
Unless your intake falls apart and sends pieces flying into your intake manifold, it won't void your warranty.
