Look up 272 cams in using the search button. There is a guy on the west coast that makes them for a reasonable price IIRC.

for those going with the cams you have to keep in mind that you will need some head work down. valves, valves springs, retainers etc. depending on how agressive your cams are.

um, no to the valves.

springs, retainers, seat locators. im sure you can get away with the 264 grind on stock springs, but thats pushing it. the stock springs are soft.

I wouldn't touch the valves....but I will be doing some springs, retainers and locaters as area 47 said. Now, as far as rev-limit......anything else I would need to think about to bring it up to around 8k? I would think maybe neutral balance shafts?? Or would stock block handle the extra rpm?

I believe the GM build book reccomends the neutral shafts for 8000RPM.
Do you have a copy of that?

yea, I'd probably put on a 2.9 or something, just have to figure out what would be the best to go with.....I have a few pullies in my garage so that won't be a problem.
