Can i start my car after putting a new pcm in it without having the case crank relearn or security relearn done first?

 

Straight out of the factory Service Manual:

If the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is replaced, the following procedures must be performed:

1 PCM Reprogramming

2. Crankshaft Position (CKP) Variation Learn

(Nothing noted about the security relearn)

 

ok thats great but he isnt going to put a new pcm in his car in the chevy dealership...but to answer ur question its ok just to get the the dealership is what i here just stay outta boost as much as possible

dont drive the car hard until you get it done. i got mine done at the dealer 60 bucks, they were supposed to charge me 95 but didnt.
