I know there's been threads in the past about this. But on my phone it's hard to find. So. I'm looking at a stage 2 kit. I want to maintain the reliability of my cobalt all while getting some good gains. I've been looking at zzp's kit. My options are as follows. 3.1" pulley, shorter belt, 41lb injectors (Ibe figured 90% duty with 3.1" pulley) , Ngk plugs, new ic pump (mines intermittent), and no cooling mods. I'm told the canned tune is pure junk.

Only supporting upgrades are air box mod and srs exhaust. So my question is how rich is the zzp tune or how close to lean? I'd much rather be extra rich like stock than closer to lean since I currently don't have a wideband and won't be able to track my a/f ratio until spring when I save up for it. Trying to do this on a budget for now. So is a custom tune def. necessary? And will stage 2 with my setup put me in high 13's with good driver?

Get your pulley and injectors then contact SSkev for the tune, he is in Oakville, that's your best bet.

Oh you would need a wideband to get tooned

I have a friend off this site that can tune me. He has hptuners. Maybe some guys here now him. He runs a shop called malicious intent with my brother and specializes in lsj's. He's got a redline running 12's with a twin screw blower. Real nice guy he may even be a vendor on this site. I know he is on *************. Also what's up with that site no one is on it and it's very similar to this site?

So your saying zzp tune isn't good really? I'm very close to oakville Im Cambridge area. If I did get zzp tune by sending my PCM I wouldn't need the wideband would I? I figure a wideband would ding me about the same as the stage kit around 250$ shipped. So i would relle rather not pay double

Dont bother with the ZZP can tune if you have access to personalized tuning. Wideband, 60's, 2.9" pulley, and tune it. You can add cooling mods at a later time.

Ya my ic pump seems to not work so hot. When I first bought it it wasn't working at all. No bubbly bubblys. So I wacked her with a hammer and she started flowing real good. A few weeks later, was yesterday, I checked it again. Didn't seem to be working. So I wacked it and my filler neck went up. Wacked it again and I opened it and it overflowed a touch. So I dunno maybe it was the heat? I was hoping it hadn't been working for while and was just stuck with dirt n such. But I'm gunna order a new one anyways it's only a 100$ and keeps my peace of mind that my iat's aren't sky rocketing. I noticed my idle was rougher when it wasn't on
