Question Cant decide! Stage kit?

Ok guys.......first off I don't care about warranty because I'm already at 31,000 miles......plus we all know a warranty is only as good as the company who offers it.....with that being said GM stage 2 is still a option I am considering just for the fact that its GM parts....

ANYWAYS! Ok I want a reliable upgrade. Now I know you are taking a chance with any mod you do but I want a boost in power but not overkill......So what does everyone think? What stage kit do you recommend? Intense Stage 2 , 3 ? Tag stage 1,2? CA Stage 1, 2, 3?

Please vote or comment if ya like! All input is appreciated!

none of the above.

2.8 pully
60lb injectors
S2 belt.
quality tune (NOT a mail tune from a company)

cheaper.
and if you get it tuned properly....alot safer.

I'd go with a 2.9 or a 2.8 some #60 injectors and a custom tune. I think youll be happier and it could ponetionaly be cheaper. I would also recommend mounts. I've seen plenty of sss/c that cant hook up even on stock power.

That's the setup you want right there.

Otherwise I would go with CA stage 3 because the guy that tuned those packages is very good.

it doesnt matter "how good the guy that tuned it is"

its still a canned tune.

the ONLY canned tune you can trust is from GM, because they are overly safe with it.

and even that tune is ugly, but at least it wont pop your motor.

Just get it properly tuned for your car, in your conditions. by someone who knows what they are doing.

Yeah Paul is very good at tuning. He made the tunes for those stage kits. He also tuned my car.

Like I said a custom stage kit is the way to go but I would choose CA's kit over the others.

yeah the cobalt addiction would be the best kit but i agree get a good tune locally and a 2.8 and 60s. also grab up a cobra heat exchanger or get one from cobalt addiction. also dual pass endplate would work awesome.

You can make a thread asking the OH guys where they get tuned.

This company is in Columbus and they do GM tuning.
Just google (GM tuning Columbus OH) a few results pop up.

You have to get a custom tune. Sorry but I wouldn't trust a canned tune with my car simply because if the climate is even slightly different where you live then where the canned tune is coming from it can cause major problems as the weather changes. Plus every car is different.

That is why I am leaning towards the Intense Kit because they are about 5 mins away from my house......plus if anything goes wrong they are a quick trip away to get some help

Even though you said "I don't care about warranty", if you ever have a future problem with a "non GM" upgrade - who are you going to bring it to?

I say get the GM St. 2 so if something in that mod messes up your car .... you can still have a Chevy dealership check it out.
